Is industrial hemp the same as marijuana?
Hemp is part of the Cannabis sativa species that is characterized by extremely low levels of THC (the psychotropic cannabinoid found in recreational/medical marijuana). The 2018 Farm Bill allowed for the nationwide, regulated cultivation of this low-THC plant (less than .3% THC by dry weight). Ultimately, hemp looks very similar to its recreational cousin: in fact, they look and smell very similar. Hemp has been bred for high levels of CBD.
What is CBD (cannabidiol)?
Over 100 cannabinoids--chemicals found in cannabis--have been discovered. Of these, CBD (cannabidiol) and THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) are two of the most well known. CBD is not psychotropic, whereas THC is. This means CBD doesn't get you high or alter your perception like THC found in medical/recreational marijuana is known to do.
Full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, isolate, what's the difference?
We consider the oil we extract from hemp to be full-spectrum: the oil contains all of the cannabinoids found naturally within the hemp. Broad-spectrum typically means it contains most of the cannabinoids found naturally in hemp, except for THC. Products that are made with CBD isolate contain only CBD, and no other cannabinoids. Most of our customers prefer a product with high concentrations of full-spectrum oil. We offer tinctures with up to 3,000mg of full spectrum CO2-extracted hemp oil per bottle at a fair price.
Is hemp seed oil the same as full-spectrum hemp oil?
There is an important distinction between oil extraction from hemp seeds and full spectrum oil extracted from the whole hemp plant. Hemp seed oil typically contains little if any cannabinoids but is rich in Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids in a purportedly ideal ratio. Our full spectrum CO2-extracted hemp oil, which we extract from the hemp we grew, however, is extremely rich in cannabinoids. We combine our full-spectrum hemp oil with USDA organic hemp seed oil for a potent and tasty tincture.
How much tincture should I take?
Most of our customers follow the suggested usage guidelines on our package and label. We recommend starting with up to 1ml (dropper-full), held under the tongue for 60 seconds. Taken daily, you can adjust the dosage and frequency to suit your needs. You should consult with a physician for any medical-related questions.
Is there THC in your product?
Yes, our full spectrum tincture does contain trace amounts of THC. By weight, there is less than .3% THC. Many users report a preference for a product that contains all of the cannabinoids found in hemp. This is why we offer a full spectrum tincture that contains high levels of CBD in conjunction with compliant levels of THC and many other minor cannabinoids.
