OUR VERTICALLY INTEGRATED PROCESS
Fort Farms is located within the functional wetlands of the COWASEE basin. COWASEE is short for the Congaree/Wateree/Upper Santee River system. This 215,000 acre floodplain is home to the largest old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the eastern United States. This area of central South Carolina is rich in wildlife habitat and agricultural resources. With respect for nature and all species living in it, sustainability is at the forefront of our farming practice to preserve these valuable lands.
We are proud to say that our hemp is organically grown in South Carolina, free from synthetic-chemical pesticides and fertilizers, and has not been genetically modified.
When the hemp has matured, we harvest our fields by hand. Once harvested, the hemp is dried and milled into biomass. This biomass is processed using a cutting edge supercritical CO2 extractor in our lab located on our farm.
CO2 extraction uses pressurized carbon dioxide to draw out the desired cannabinoids from the hemp plant. The result is a high-quality, clean oil with no toxic by-products. We combine our full-spectrum hemp extract oil with USDA organic hemp seed carrier oil for maximum potency.
To ensure both our standards of quality and safety are met, we third-party test our full-spectrum hemp oil. Through cannabinoid analysis, our premium hemp oil regularly tests well into 60% CBD alongside other cannabinoids including CBG, CBC, and CBN. We also test our products for heavy metals, mycotoxins, and pesticides.
